Grief Support

Rainbow Hospice Care offers a variety of grief support options.

Rainbow Bereavement Counselor Laura Wessels hosts Monday Morning Joe from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center (IPC) except on holidays. Please park in the lower level- parking lot and enter through the left door. We are asking that people who want to attend call ahead to RSVP to Laura Wessels, so we can keep the group at ten people.

Rainbow Bereavement Counselor Hilary Furnish also hosts an Honoring Grief- Six Week Support Group at the IPC. This group meets each Monday during the spring and fall from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. This group will focus on helping acknowledge, honor, and better understand grief and loss. Registration is required. Contact us for more information or to register.

Our Bereavement and Spiritual team of Laura Wessels, Hilary Furnish, and Steve Steele are also here for you if you need some one-on-one grief support. Don’t hesitate to contact them at (920) 674-6255 and one of them will gladly assist you.

One of the most important and valuable benefits provided by Rainbow Hospice Care occurs after the death of a loved one.

Taking care of oneself and receiving support from friends and family is extremely important after suffering a loss. It is also often useful to access additional resources such as support groups that offer a safe, confidential place to identify and express thoughts and feelings, and gain additional perspective and comfort from those who are sharing similar experiences.

This benefit is offered in many ways:

One-on-one Visits

Whether on the telephone or in person, our bereavement and spiritual team is here to talk with you as you travel this grief journey that be both disorientating and painful. We are happy to offer recurring visits to walk with you as you learn to move forward without your loved one. Contact Bereavement Counselor, Laura Wessels or Hilary Furnish to set up a visit.
