Rainbow Holds Dementia Training Session

The Rainbow volunteer department teamed up with Tonya Runyard, Jefferson County’s Dementia Care Specialist, to organize a dementia information session at our Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center on Friday, January 20th.

Tonya provided Dementia Friends informative training to our Rainbow Hospice Care volunteers to change the way people think, act, and talk about dementia. Tonya engaged all who attended by growing dementia awareness in the community by answering questions about the valuable resources available to support dementia caregivers and families and providing tips on how to communicate best with a person living with dementia.
